Elle: Elle is a lifestyle magazine that focuses on celebrities, fashion, and beauty. It is aimed at women, probably in the same age range as my production which is 18-35 year old 'millennials'. The front cover has a large image of Selena Gomez, with the magazine's name and also 'Go Glam' in huge yellow writing. Then there is 'Fashion, big, bad & bougie- bags and shoes get bold', 'Beauty- big hair is back', and 'How to wear the leather dress' in smaller white writing. These are all eye-catching and the subjects appeal to the target audience and hooks them in. After opening the magazine there are about 30 pages of advertisements for perfume and fashion designers such as Louis Vitton and Fendi, and also a watch advertisement for Tag Huer. This blog is about my A level media coursework at Hills Road Sixth Form College. For my coursework I am required to create an individual cross-media production for the following brief:  Brief 1- Television, a cross-media production for a new television in a factual or fictional genre (or sub-genre/hybrid) of your choice. Create an audio-visual sequence from a television programme and associated print materials to promote the same programme. The cross-media production is for a mainstream broadcaster (either ITV or Channel 5) targeting an audience of 18-35 year old 'millennials'. My magazine double page spread ideas.

My double page spread will be similar to one found in lifestyle magazines such as Elle and Cosmopolitan. It will be an interview with the two main characters in the show: Dudley and Dr. Alan. There will be a big image of them on one of the pages with a quote pasted over a part of the image that is eye-catching from the interview. The other page will be taken up with the text from the interview, with some striking quotes made larger and put in the middle and edges of the page. I may also include some smaller images that are shots from the actual show. Include a sidebar on a slightly different issue. Introduction: 'Crazy eating habits of the UK' is a new documentary series on Channel 5, at 9pm on Thursdays. It's hosted by Dr.Alan who is a doctor who specialises in helping people with their diet.
